C K Dryden (CKDR) was initially founded in 1963. The radio station began broadcasting on the AM 900kHz frequency. It then moved to 800kHz in 1984 and was finally converted to an FM radio station in 2005. The rebroadcasters were added in 1980. Currently, the class B radio station is owned by Acadia Broadcasting.
