About the Radio Station
The radio station was founded in 1945 by Joseph Arthur Dupont. Since then, the radio station has undergone several changes in ownership. It was purchased by Standard Broadcasting, Hollinger Inc, and finally Slaight Communications in 1985. The radio station began as a full-service station that featured adult contemporary music. Today, the station is a News and Talk station with a Class B status. The station transmits through a fifty-thousand-watt transmitter by day and a ten thousand transmitter by night.
The radio station has many shows. These include the Leslie Roberts Show that airs from 4 pm to 7 pm, the Tommy Schnurmache R’s Gang of Four from 7 to 8 pm, the Natasha Hall Show from 8 to 10 pm and the Evan Solomon Show from 10 to 11 pm amongst others.
Several celebrities feature on the station. They include Andrew Carter, Leslie Roberts, Natasha Hall, Evans Solomon, Aaron Rand and Doctor Laurie.
