TSN 1290
This semi-national radio station features sports news. It is available in several Canadian towns including Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Hamilton. The radio station was first announced on February 17th, 2011 but definitively became TSN 1290 in October 2011.
The network is said to be a revival of The Team Network which aired in the early 2000s featuring sports radio stations branded for specific teams.
Programs
TSN 1290 has not been keen on creating a 24-hour schedule arguing that staying local is key to their success. However, some programs air regularly. These include Mike Richards in the Morning from 5.30 to 9 am and TSN Drive with Dave Naylor.
The station also broadcasts the Grey Cup, NBA playoffs, UEFA Euro 2012 and 2016 and the Open Championship golf series.
